Washington State University is a public research university and Washington's land-grant institution, founded in 1890, with its flagship campus in Pullman serving over 16,400 students. The most popular majors include business, management, and marketing; social sciences; biological and biomedical sciences; psychology; and engineering, with WSU awarding 513 degrees annually to psychology majors alone.
