Jeanette has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences from Colorado State University and a certificate in College Counseling from the University of California, San Diego. She completed the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Summer Training Institute and continues her education through monthly conferences, seminars, and webinars. She visits more than 30 colleges each year, giving her first-hand knowledge of campuses that she shares directly with students and families.

For 12+ years, Jeanette has guided students through the full college admissions process, from building a balanced college list to navigating essays, testing, and financial aid. Her students have been admitted to a range of schools, including highly selective universities such as Cornell, NYU, Columbia, and USC, along with UC and CSU campuses and honors college programs, always with an eye toward fit and affordability alongside selectivity. Her approach centers on getting to know each student's actual interests and strengths, rather than fitting them into a generic template, so the list and application reflect who they are. Jeanette measures success not by acceptance letters alone, but by whether a student lands in a place they're genuinely excited to attend.

Before college counseling, Jeanette ran a medical recruiting franchise, placing healthcare professionals in jobs across the field. That work, rebuilding resumes, researching openings, interviewing candidates, and prepping them for interviews, is not far removed from what she does now: helping students present themselves clearly and match with the right fit. She has spent more than 30 years involved in schools and her community, including as a board member of St. Germaine Children's Charity, where she has chaired the Awards Lunch, held key roles for their major fundraiser, and served on the Grants committee conducting site visits and writing grant reports.
