What To Do While Waiting For Admissions

It's January and students are back in school. Seniors have heard from some of their early action schools, but not all of them. For most, the long wait to hear from their remaining schools continues. Students should be looking for scholarships as now is the time to apply. They should also be checking their email daily and setting up their portals as this is the way colleges communicate with them. Some may need more information and if students don't respond, the college could assume they are not interested or they may be unable to process their application. Keeping their grades up is also important because many colleges ask for mid-year reports and final grades. For most colleges, D's and F's are unacceptable even in the last semester of their high school career, and the course will need to be taken again. Students who have not filled out the FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid) can still do so. Check each college's website for their deadline. If you don't feel you will qualify for need-based aid, you can still fill out the FAFSA and submit it after the college's deadline to be considered for institutional aid. It's always best to check each college's financial aid website for their policies. Not enough data for insights yet  Share post 
