Begin Looking for Summer Internships in January!
January is a great time to begin looking for summer internships. Although many volunteer and internship opportunities were put on hold last summer, many are tentatively planned for this spring and summer. Sophomores and juniors should begin looking for them now as many of the deadlines are at the end of January and are competitive. Begin by looking at
your high school's website, then do a Google search based on your interest (biology, engineering, business, or other). You may have to create an account to have the jobs directly sent to your email Ask family and friends if they need help with anything. There are opportunities for research at most universities which usually require a longer commitment of a few weeks or more. Colleges regard meaningful research highly as they show commitment and exploration of your major. This is also a good way for you to learn about your intended major and to see what it's like to work in the field, also. Do something you are interested in. Life is short so you may as well enjoy what you are doing! Not enough data for insights yet Share post
