May is when students take Advanced Placement exams (AP tests) administer by the College Board. AP courses are college-level courses taken in high school. By scoring a 4 or 5 on the exam, students can bypass entry-level courses and receive college credit, thus saving money on tuition and graduating on time. With many colleges remaining test-optional again this year, some may be turning to AP test scores as a way to measure student success. Students plan to take and study hard for the tests. It's another way to finish their junior year strong.
